Shaping who we are while helping others

The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others. Students are required to complete internships to graduate as it is important to get work experience. Hopefully, with the experiences gained from these internships, one can learn different skills as well as define one’s future aspirations. It is a privilege to find an opportunity where one can get work experience and learn life skills that shape who we are.

I never imagined working with a nonprofit organization that helps cancer patients and communities learn about the challenges facing families with acute diseases like cancer within their families. In movies, interns are often depicted as people working for someone and fetching them coffee or doing errands for them, but in my case, Kuldip a leukemia survivor bought the interns coffee while sharing the importance of empathy and compassion.

Large companies focus on making profits, but with NeuVisium Foundation (NVF), I am working for a cause. Besides the work experience that I am getting at NVF, I am able to work for something I deeply resonate with – NeuVisum’s mission. This is why I am happy to use my skills and contribute to their goals.

The work at the Foundation is supported by donations. While we build our service offerings, you can help us build a more resilient organization by contributing from your heart. After all, there is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting others up.
